The price for a first level AS/400, equipped with its operating system and software licenses for the base products, starts at around 15.000/20.000 euros.

For this price, you are buying an AS/400 suitable for managing a small workgroup (5/10 users).

For a system capable of handling about fifty users, the cost can rise to approximately 50 thousand euros.

It should be remembered that the AS/400 has great scalability.

You can imagine the cost of a version that can withstand the weight of 1.000 or 10.000 simultaneous users.

Of course, the cost of the management software, without which the systems serves little purpose (see FAQ “programs/applications for AS/400”), must be added to the total.
